Just for fun: A 24 nation Not-World-Cup

Loosely based on FIFA rankings:
Pot A: Italy, Netherlands, USA, Wales, Slovakia, Chile
Pot B: Scotland, Ukraine, Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Austria, Ireland
Pot C: Cameroon, Greece, Ghana, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Paraguay
Pot D: Cote D'Ivoire, Algeria, Honduras, UAE, Syria, New Zealand

Forgot Chile and Bosnia
Pot A: Italy, Netherlands, USA, Wales, Slovakia, Chile

If top 2 from each group advance: (roughly based on current form)
A: Italy, Wales (assuming Bale comes back from the dead)
B: Ukraine, Austria
C: Ghana, Greece
D: Algeria, Cote D'Ivoire
Algeria is my dark horse to make the semi-finals.

Realistically, I think we will see a 6-8 team pre WC tourney on our soil. Some games against Italy, Chile, and Netherlands would be good for us.

Had them in originally. Removed them to make room for others. And they're fricking awful to watch and only made it to the playoff thanks to their garbage group.

They did better than Ireland who played hoofball the first leg or sat 10 behind the ball. Then got ripped to shreds when they tried to play expansive football.
