My opinion is not about the basketball players, I dont really care. Good for them, hopefully theyve learned the err of their ways, but three kids skating on shoplifiting charges in a foreign country is hardly making america great. begging for credit about it on twitter afterwards, while expected, is still pathetic.

Where's your compassion? If Trump would have stood silent these kids careers would have been ruined. They now have a second chance. Hopefully they learned a HUGE lesson.

If he did nothing for these kids (which, in a perfect world, he shouldn't have to) he gets called racist. If he speaks up for them, then you get the usual "the president shouldn't get involved in stuff like this" comments.

his job is to protect american citizens, he really sucks at it, but when he succeeds let the the success speak for you.

but

he is a reality tv star so lets put out a tweet.

Of course, because if they don't say thank you after POTUS basically forces their hand to, they're ungrateful little bastards

Oh well, I guess a NCAAB boycott will be incoming

I love when Trump says something petty and pathetic and then the Trumpkins come running in to tell us the true meaning behind it

Someone has to translate.

And I'm serious.

Why?

Trump speaks and communicates in a manner that allows you're preconceived assumptions to drive the meaning behind his statements.

Trumpkins assume that Trump is generally a good guy.

Libs and NeverTrumpers assume the Trump is generally a bad guy.

Since Trump is generally a good guy, has American interest at heart and has good intentions, the Trumpkins understanding of his statements are almost always true.

At the rate the boycotts are growing, this will be the easily offended "conservatives" soon:

I don’t think Trump is a bad guy. I think he is incredibly insecure and panders to his base to feed that insecurity.

This is just exhibit #576

Are you fricking serious? The people asking if he’d engage president Xi about their release more closely fit that mold than this message from Trump. Why act like these guys are the victims? They should have gotten no special treatment and POTUS should have said that specifically.

They need to use their hands for something other than theft though and write a letter to our President thanking him for allowing them to circumvent the law and giving them a chance that their dog shite “parents” never did

He is making a bigger point about the AA demographic being in the Dems pocket and even when he does something to help he cant even get credit from the MSM and that demographic.
