Food was pretty good. Those of you who said to go heavily armed were spot on. It's in a really bad area of town. The area of the fair with the camels and giraffes was depressing. It's how I imagine zoos looked like in 1910 America or 1970 Russia. Fairgoers were what I expected. A mix of redneck proud, urban culture, and south of the border. Any chance the fair will get moved to Bossier?

I have never been...sounds fun, but grew up going to things like Cal-Cam fair and contraband days, so let me be the first to say that it sounds trashy!

Saw the setup near the giraffes but the races weren't scheduled while we around it and I wasn't going to walk all the way back over there.

I don't think the demographics would change much if it moved right across the river to Bossier.

Just curious, what time of day did you go?

I went a couple decades ago. Got me a $10 platinum bracelet and hit up Club Havana after. Got laid.

That’s the real state fair.

The one in Baton Rouge has always been a pretender.

Thank God my kids have gotten too old to drag me. I will never go again. The whole experience sucks

I took real good care of them. Won a lot a prizes for the kiddos and your wife rewarded me afterward.

Never really went to the fair, but used to go watch LaTech and Northwestern play during the state fair in the 70's. Was a big high school date night.

Best part is the corn dogs that long as my forearm.

Oh, and the AgCenter exhibit.
