Its horrible. I work near that area. No way I would ever take my daughter to that shite. Hell I hate even taking her near my place of business. It would be much better off in Bossier, if nothing else other than the bossier city police being much more competent, but I still think the fair attracts a certain type of people.

Any chance the fair will get moved to Bossier?

No, They would have to build another fairgrounds.....instead just need some gentrification in the area.

How hard can that be. All you need are a few decent sized structures, a converter pad for the fairway, and a parking area with road access.

I grew up going to it. Always enjoyed it. It is a state fair in Louisiana, not Disney World so yeah, it’s trashy. Always fun though as long as you have realistic expectations.

Not hard...but it still takes money.

And where are you gonna put it in Bossier?

Everyone went in the 70s and early 80s. I suppose the mid 80s it started turning.

Went on a Sunday as soon as it opened. My 5 year old son and I had a blast. Zero lines kids area is pretty closed off. Pig races were awesome.

I could tell people up there take pride in the fair and it has a significant spot on their social calendar.
