he's not going anywhere, he wants to take the knights to the playoff.

I just can't see Frost staying at UCF. Not many opportunities come up where you have multiple high profile jobs coming open in the same time frame.

UCF is a better job than Nebraska. If Frost goes anywhere it would be Florida.

...which is exactly why he’ll leave. They very well may go undefeated this year, and still won’t make the playoff because they play in the AAC.

Good for Nebraska. That would be a great story if he goes there and is successful.

He may not have the options that we think he does . If UF and Tennessee go with someone else then he may try to stay try for a better job then Nebraska maybe FSU or Auburn. It may not be a bad idea to wait . This year he is the top young guy but he could clearly be the top guy everyone wants next year. But he could also loose his appeal. It’s a risk either way . Going to Nebraska or a another average P5 program could ruin his chances at a top job.

To quote the Bear, I'm sure he will answer if "Momma Calls". I think he's Nebraska all the way. Which is why Tenn and UF are looking elsewhere

Exactly. He made it clear that he wanted the job the last time Nebraska was looking for a coach, and felt insulted when they didn’t even interview him. New AD Moos will make up for that mistake.

If Florida offers he would go there over Nebraska.

Florida already reached out. He told them he wasn't interested, so they went to Plan B: Chip Kelly. Pretty obvious.

FWIW...

You strike while the irons hot. UCF knows he is gone this year.

Quoting an article a few years ago:

In fact, Frost, who at the time of the interview was an assistant coach at Oregon, expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of one day coaching at Nebraska.

“Absolutely. It’s the No. 1 goal. Sometimes your goals come true and sometimes not. But there’s no other place I’d …”

He paused, seemingly not wanting his words to be seen as dismissive of his current job and employer. Then he continued.

“I guess I’d just say, a big part of my heart is in Nebraska, and I’d love to coach there someday.”

From what I’ve heard and after Moos’ comments today, I think a prelim deal is already made for Scott to come home

Being that Florida is courting the most anti social coach in the industry with a show cause I find that hard to believe.. maybe the gators are that desperate for a pulse on offense

Chip Kelly is a HR hire. Frost although looking awesome right now is still an unknown commodity at the P5 level. I know he's from there but unless you guys are going to spend millions on your recruiting budget he's going to have recruit harder than most P5 schools especially compared to Florida.

For a proven HC who's record is 46-7
Put Oregon on the map
has half the nation trying to copy his scheme
took a team of mid level players to the NCG, lost by a fg to a more talented team with a Heisman QB
had a top offense each year as a HC

Thats not desperate, thats jumping on the biggest name out there. A name we wanted years ago

. And not to mention there are no fans to speak of apparently. I wish it were not so but the fans continue to stay away in droves and it makes no sense for this very good team- that little stadium should be overflowing every game but they do well to get 25k at a game. It’s a shame because one would think with the local population, the huge student population and resources that this school’s football program would just take off-

Exactly — the UCF administration challenged the fans to prove to Frost how badly they want him to stay, and they failed miserably
