As a 7 year old, I remember him blowing the whistle at Crowley High School and hollering, "ROTATE.'' That mean we go to the next station. He had the team with Greg Lazard and Jerome Baptiste, until Greg spit in his face. That Gent team scored 10 points in 6 seconds to beat Rayne. Yes, a couple of technical were called, but the gym was "lit'' as you say.

missed Brady's coaching the past 10 years.

Yeah, Dude knows hoops...it's getting along with people that was his issue.

His voice is familiar and he did a good job describing the action particularly in regards to what both teams were trying to do defensively.

Can you imagine Brady trying to describe a Johnny Jones defense?

He was good and I liked a coach's perspective.

I listened to the 2nd half while on the road. I agree he was very good at talking about technical stuff and I generally enjoyed his banter and faimiliar mannerisms. He's only going to get better as well

I just want to know how he is on the call.
He is very good, in fact he and Chris are a very good team.

I thought he was great, especially for the first game. Didn't try too hard to interject every single possession, but had really good insight to add.
He's also good to have to add what Blair can't - LSU historical perspective. He broke out an Ethan Martin reference that I could appreciate, that Blair had no clue who he was talking about.
Overall, I enjoyed him being on the broadcast more than any other color guy they've ever had for hoops.

I agree with you.

I was expecting to sense some bitterness, negativity, and some condescension, etc, at times, but he was actually very positive and complimentary. I think he really did a great job.

Best part about is we have a coach confident and smart enough to have him involved in the program. He is another set of experienced eyes that ww will from time to time ask for his opinion. Unlike the last guy who nixed the idea of having him do the color last year when JB was offered the job. JB is having a ball and loves being involved again with LSU bb, he turned down a bb consultant job making 5 times the money we are paying him at another SEC school to stay at LSU. Lots of stars are lining up for a great run of LSU bb in the future.

That's because the last guy didn't know shite about Xs and Os despite coaching basketball the last 25+ years and didn't want to be exposed by someone who knows Xs and Os.

I listened to him in the pregame and found him to be fair, objective, and detailed. He had some critical analysis about Wade where Brady pointed out potential weaknesses. So he isn’t an arse kisser either. Very smooth and positive. He makes Blair a better play by play guy too.

And just think, if Wade and his teams become awesome like we all hope for, Brady will be right there from the beginning to tell us all about. Fun times for Brady.

Ricky Blanton was the worst

Ricky is a good guy and a great Tiger, so I while I would love to be more diplomatic, as I know he tried very hard, I gotta agree he was pretty cringe-worthy IMHO as a color guy.
