He was a waste from day one. He never wanted to be here. I don't care about his career. Couldn't care about him or if he's ever associated with LSU.

I felt his pain. Simmons attitude was never about him. It was about the piss poor basketball environment of Johnny Jones coached (I laughed to ????) LSU Tigers. Johnny Jones is a low IQ system boy. Ben Simmons got shafted being steered to Johnny Jones.

The hate Ben Simmons gets on this board is stupid. He’s a product of the one and done rule. Simmons had no business playing college basketball. Of course he’s going to be bitter about losing millions of dollars because of a dumb NBA rule.

The comments like “he used LSU as a stepping stone” and “it was only ever about business for him” are so hypocritical it’s painful. You’re telling me that you busted your arse at LSU to get your business, engineering, accounting, chemistry, etc degree, in order to make your department look good? No, you enjoyed college life and did enough work to meet the requirements to graduate and get a good job.

Stop being obsessed with Ben Simmons just because he doesn’t like LSU as much as you do.

I wouldn't get worked up over this. He would have made this statement about wherever he went. Still can't believe he came to college instead of playing a year over seas.

He used his year to work on his ball handling and passing to be a "point forward". I watched him play in high school and he looked different. A big reason he came here was because Jones would let him do that. Coach K, Cal, Williams etc. would have had him on the bench if he didn't play doing what was best for the team.

And exactly what great effort did he put forth on and off court while at LSU? None.

Proof that the one and done is a joke. It has nearly ruined college basketball and makes the players not care, just like Simmons.

These so-called student athletes are exploited by the entire NCAA ‘system’. They produce millions of $$ for schools, but have little to show in return. What choices have they?
