On how he got so good at throwing a punch that didn’t connect:
“I hung a string in the doorway and I hit that string as hard as I could for three years, until it didn’t move.”

Reading about their family is so damn depressing.

I heard him on Clay Travis talking about his new book, Slobberknocker.
JR said that the best thing about the old days was that many of the great ones were not characters ... they were just being themselves ... he specifically mentioned Nature Boy Ric Flair and Captain Redneck Dick Murdoch.
Told some story about NB at some hotel bar in Myrtle Beach in the middle of the day ordering something like 171 kamikaze shots.
I am very excited about this 30 for 30...been waiting a long time.
I've been watching a lot of old rasslin' stuff on youtube ... brings back a lot of good memories from my youth, I suppose.
Glad to see that some of the old timers are still kickin'.

Seen a documentary or two ... a lot of stuff on youtube.
I still playfully put the Iron Claw on my sons when we rassle on the living room floor ... I had to educate them on the Von Erichs.

wasn't Dick Murdoch in the Klan? or he atleast would go to rallies (or checkers, depending on the town)

Over the years, several within professional wrestling who knew Murdoch have said was racist and was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. In a shoot interview, Bad News Brown accused him of being a member of the Klan. This was also mentioned by Tito Santana in his autobiography, Tales From The Ring. Former WWE SmackDown head writer Alex Greenfield also related a story told to him by Dusty Rhodes about Murdoch driving them to a Klan party without telling him it was a KKK party beforehand.[9][10] Most recently, former wrestling star Rocky Johnson, father of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, claims Murdoch was a member of the Klan and that he once knocked him unconscious during a match stating during an interview, "Because he was KKK and didn't like blacks, he kept kicking me hard and punching me. I said, 'you hit me one more time, I'm hitting you back.' He hit me, and I knocked him out."[11]

He's wearing UF boxers in that second gif.
Expect them to spend at least a few minutes talking about his penis size. It's like a baby's arm holding an apple according to Tony Schiavone.

Got to meet him after a show in Biloxi, this was before Katrina. Show was at the Gulf Coast Coliseum. Enjoyed the show. After the show headed back to Grand Casino in Biloxi which is where we were staying... saw him walk through lobby.. I walked right up to him shook his hand and we chatted for 10 minutes.
