Manchester United are shite without him in the side. The guy will never rack up the sexy stat totals but his involvement is game changing.

How do you rank him as a player?

He's good but I don't think his absence is why United is struggling. A good bit of it is just how Jose manages. They had him last season and struggled in the league.

Pogba is good and his return would help united a ton but they really shouldn't be in a position where they're relying on any one player.

Well last season they weren't utilizing him properly. They now have a guy to sit behind him and anchor the midfield, giving him the freedom to get forward more often.

Ding ding ding ding

When he was healthy earlier this season, he was making a huge difference. United just don't have a lot of creativity in central midfield without him. Mkhitaryan has barely been relevant this season, and the Herrera-Matic combo just isn't working.

wrong

Jose def changed how he managed the side with Pogba out.

He opened up yesterday and its very clear we can't play that way with out Pogba, bc we have no one else who can open up the defense passing the ball or taking on defenders.

Which doesn't make any sense. Mkhitaryan in theory should allow for some semblance of creativity. Mata should too. Matching the 3 at the back was probably a poor choice. Morata was alone and a 3 v 1 was excessive. It coincidentally gave him more space because there was no way a midfield two could track Chelsea's runners. It wasn't the best tactical choice by Mourhino.

Mkhitaryan

Is in awful form right now

it was like we were playing down a man with him out there.

when we went 4-3-3 yesterday, we played so much better.

Pogba-Herrera with Matic providing cover has seemed like the best midfield option for United this season. Hopefully it'll be the move when Pogba comes back. Mkhitaryan and Mata should be able to be effective as wingers in a 4-3-3.

He’s obviously a big miss, but early on they also played some of the worst teams in the EPL... that may skew the perception somewhat...

Herrera and Matic as a 2 midfield doesn't work at all.

They are both way to similar.

I think he geeks up the guys around him, best attribute. Honestly Lukaku looks like he'd rather be napping with Pogba out. Mkhi switched off too, they all look pathetic really.
