Where to Park to see Mike?

I was in Baton Rouge last week and decided to take a drive past campus for the first time in years. It seemed all of the streets to get on campus were gated off of Highland. I was looking for an area near Mike’s habitat to park. I want to take some kids to see him. Any suggestions?

Turn on to North Stadium Drive off of Nicholson. Park nearly anywhere near the ticket office or sports shop. Walk 100 yds or less.

I was able to park right in front of his cage. And that was on a Friday at like 11 am. There wasn't anyone in the guard Shack

You can also enter the lots on the west and south sides of the stadium via South Stadium Drive. There are entrances before the guard station.

I walk by Mike every day of the week. The 4:30 thing only applies to parking "within" campus through the gates. You can park along the road next to the Sports Shop (next to Mike's cage) as long as you aren't there for hours it wont be a problem (people park there all the time just to see Mike for a few minutes).
And I would suggest going early, only because he (Mike) tends to take a mid-day nap. He is very active in the mornings usually.

You can't park in front of the cage before 4:30 but you can definitely go. Just park by the Nat or the track.

Go to the guard shack right by the cage and you can just pull up to the guard and tell them you are going to see Mike and they'll let you in. Done it a few times. If they don't let you in just park in the parking lot right there by the ticket office
