I don't recall seeing that many I-formation runs into the teeth of the defense this year. Maybe I'm mistaken though.

I think Canada has done a fantastic job this year. And no, the offense doesn't "look" the same as it did under Cam/Les. But this offense is not a pass first offense. This offense is hardly a pass second offense. Canada is calling plays with one arm tied behind his back because we don't have a viable passing game. That's not all Etling's fault, it's not all the receivers fault, it's not all the lineman's fault, and it's not all the scheme's fault, but it's a combination of all of those things.

This. I'm realistic and fully expect bama to eat our OL up but also don't expect us to keep trying to run it off guard 22 times. I anticipate a good game plan with quick passes, misdirection, and throwing the ball down the field; I also anticipate the more talented team to control the line and limit what we can do.

I get that. However, if we lose doing the same ol shite we've always tried against their defense then I'll be sorely disappointed. If we lose and throw different plays and looks at them that we havent dont before I can at least say we tried to change it up and we just lost because they were the better team.

I hate most of our fans I swear. Other than Florida fans, we are probably the top group of fans that will scrutinize and down our own players and coaches before a big game like this but then most of you fricktards jump back on ship after the outcome isn't what you predicted. It's like some of y'all should convert to Bama fans. Y'all are more scared of Bama and their fans and y'all aren't even the ones on the field.

Support the team and stop with this stupid shite with Alabama. They're not even close to invincible so stop acting like they are...

That's why it's 21.5.

If it’s at 21.5, bet LSU. With the way our defense has been playing, it’s going to be a lot closer than that.

It’s gonna be the same shite, different toilet. We’ll just look prettier trying to run for 4 quarters.

What the hell? No maybe you're just dumb. He literally said run run pass. He didn't say anything about running anywhere or out of any set.

Ahh yes, the ol' get blown out by Mississippi State and lose to Troy so you can protect your secret offense for Bama trick. Works every time.

You're right, but with key personnel sitting out both games due to injury.

did you really just blame the loss to Troy on injuries?!?!?!

Our talent level is so much higher than Troy that our 3rd string should be able to beat them.

Oh unbunch your panties. If you can't handle a frank conversation about this game, leave these threads for the big boys. There was a safe but meaningless thread going yesterday about uniform colors. Try that one. Word of caution though. When the gals start arguing over which shade of yellow is better, watch out for flying knitting needles!

And I'm sure your bitch arse would know exactly what kind of shade of yellow they would be looking for and the exact knitting kit they needed. You might as well let them turn you into the bitch you already are. Go frick yourself

We are going to see a few jet sweeps. A few Guice runs after faking the jet sweeps. And Etling will get huge pressure from the Bama front on passing downs.
Prepare for 7 in a row.

Might be close in the first half, (As usual) but then the SOS will happen.

Nothing will change until the OL renovation/overhaul (Coaching & Recruiting) has been initiated and completed. (And that will not be done for at least a few more years)

different offense

in the past it's been run, run, pass

Wouldn't you agree that typically we've seen runs into a clogged front, and trying to "attack them at their strengths", which is up the middle?

So wouldn't a different offense mean something other than what we're used to seeing vs Bama? Which could very well be run, run, pass, but attacking their weaknesses at the same time.

You got to think some of those runs are jet sweeps that we didn't see last year. Still shows up as a run on the stat book but I don't think anyones complaining when we score off the play

Yes, I didn't think I was going to have to be that specific. But what I am referring to is that I am looking forward to not seeing this

1st down toss dive
2nd down run off guard/tackle (with 8 in the box)
3rd down play action deep incomplete pass
4th down punt

Next series repeat

Yes Canada runs the ball alot, I understand that. Miles offense would do the same thing over and over again and never change. Canada will at least try to make adjustments and be productive. For one time in recent memory we have to watch Saban prepare for some window dressing..... Not the same ol same ol Miles offense.

We are not going to change much from what we have seen this year if any changes. There might be a play or 2 up Canadas sleeve. But at least it's different and Saban has to plan for it. I would just like to see us have some success on offense.
