do I need an ozone/uv thing? $3000 adder. Pool builder included it in quote without me asking for it, but troublefreepools says unnecessary. The fact that pool builder is adding it to quote makes me question his trustworthiness, and, yes, he is a prominent, highly recommended pool builder in BR.

I went with ozone and have been pleased with it. Allows me to use less chlorine. I started out using TFP but it took too much work. Started using automatic chlorine thing on lowest setting with ozone and have very little maintenance. If you plan on maintaining yourself, I would suggest using TFP at first to get used to how to control your numbers. Then start using tablets slowly.

Wish I would have put more skimmers and variable speed pump.

As far as builder, I got bids from all the major guys in BR. Went with Keith Russell and was very pleased. Without getting into too many details, he looked out for me with subs and an overzealous architect on several occasions.
