He ran a gimmick offense in a league that didn't play defense. Also he wasn't much of a recruiter either. Now he will be recruiting against florida st., Miami, Alabama, Georgia, lsu. I hope he gets the job.

No one is scared...I hope it happens

Doubtful he's going to Florida...
Will want too much $$$, has no recruiting ties to the area, and he allegedly hates to recruit.

I don't think anyone is scared but he is a good coach which could make Florida a very dangerous team
It would be a more difficult conference with him in it IMO

Personally I don't see him taking the job in the SEC. I see him in the PAC 12 or Big 12.

Because he won 80% of his games, was one drive away from a NC, and built a program that went to another title game immediately after he left.
His resume puts him as a Tier 1 coaching candidate, no matter how you spin it.
Scott Frost is much less of a sure thing.

Chip Kelly could find enough athletes to field elite teams at Oregon.
Now you're putting him in Florida, where he can get even more athletes.
Also: you don't think his skill-set has sharpened since he spent 4 years coaching in the NFL? Nick Saban came back from Miami a changed / better coach; I suspect Chip Kelly will come back to college in a similar fashion.
I do NOT want LSU facing another coach / program like that.

The same was said about Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer when they were hired. When Meyer was hired, our program was at its peak, so he won more than he lost but absolutely did not destroy us.
In the 1990s Spurrier destroyed us.

Why would Chip not return to the Oregon job and the deep pockets of Nike?

He was interviewed and nearly hired at LSU, too.
Imagine how much different history is if Spurrier is the HBC at LSU in the late 80s, early 90s...

So did Spurrier and by the way so did Bill Arnsparger at LSU. And he was probably the 4 most successful coach in LSU history. Recruiting is over-rated.
If you win you will get players, you lose to Troy and your recruiting class will be stuck at 18 no matter how good a used car salesman you are.

Recruiting is overrated holy shite I can't believe you said that..
Look at Sabans number one classes and his championships you don't see any correlation their?

He don't scare me. Dan Mullen going to Florida scares me.

Bc they just hired Taggert?
Kelly's gonna end up at either A&M, Arky, or UCLA

Yes I agree recruiting is a huge part of college football. Les Miles brand got old but that mofo could recruit. This is what kept LSU out of the texas, Nebraska, etc. Downfalls

I'll take that every day of the week.
Moo State is gone, and Mullen is a beatable coach. He's good, and he'll have some really good years, but Mullen is not an elite coach.

It’s not a secret on the left coast that Chip wants the UCLA job.
