Just came here to post this. This actually can help LSU simply because it gives O and Coach Raymond more time to get him on our side.

Gotta be good news for us considering the way the CBs were leaning.

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
Wide awake
and I can see the perfect sky is torn
You're a little late
I'm already torn

Idk maybe that Ohio St win changed his mind. Just kidding I hope it turns out he wants to play for the Tigers. Finishing with him, Surtain or Jalen Green is realistic. Getting all the 3 would be lovely though.

I love how your opinion is the exact opposite of what everybody else is hearing. This board never disappoints.

only in the fact that it gives us a little more time...

but let's look at it, without bias...
Cook announces he will verbal on Monday b/w Texas, LSU, and Ohio St....
Texas is figured to be the leader for him...
Ohio St. wins thriller comeback...
LSU didn't play at all, but has big game vs. Bama this weekend...

is it possible he wants to see the Bama game first? sure... but just looking at the timeline and events from yesterday, in addition to what basically every recruiting analyst has said up to this point, it sure seems like it's UT or OSU for Cook...

I don't think one game determines where a kid wants to spend 3 or 4 years by himself for the biggest step of their life. That's kinda dumb. I just think the kid is torn and needs to talk with family more. I personally think LSU is very much in the mix. If he wants to stay close to home AND play for a good defense and play in the SEC then we got him. The big 12 defenses are a complete joke and he knows that.

Well the Texas win didn’t show him anything because Baylor is terrible and Texas really didn’t play that good against them. The dbs didn’t show anything because Baylor WRS were open and just dropped balls right in their hands. Baylor offense was probably the worst offense I have seen in a long time. This is good for LSU for sure.

didn't say it did.... i said they are the leader in the clubhouse, as of right now...

again, because it gives us more time with an uncommitted prospect, yes, i agree...

He's not basing his decision on one game dude. This decision is years in the making

The only thing you need to take from him pushing his decision back is that he's undecided. That's it haha

It's good news for us because he probably would've verballed to Texas with us finishing second. We have more time to keep the momentum going that we've built over the past few weeks

neither do i... but that's not what's happening tough, so this statement is irrelevant to the discussion... it would have merit if he went ahead with the commitment tomorrow and said he decided on OSU after seeing the game on Saturday... but that's not what's happening, so.... yeah, irrelevant to what i said...

quote:

obviously...

no one is debating that we aren't... we are part of his final 3... again, your statement is obvious...

quote:

If he wants to stay close to home AND play for a good defense and play in the SEC then we got him.

considering we are the only team out of the 3 in the SEC, you are stating the obvious...

quote:

The big 12 defenses are a complete joke and he knows that.

if this was as big a deal to this kid as you seem to think it is, Texas wouldn't be in his top 3 right now, now would they?

look, i want the kid in purple and gold as much as anyone here, but i don't think him pushing his commitment back is as big a positive for LSU as i think it is for OSU, tbh.... for a while now, recruiting services have said it's basically UT/OSU, then LSU in 3rd, and while we may close the gap, i'd have to think that this only means that he's taking a harder look at OSU, than he is at LSU, or at least that's the reasoning for the push back...

now, it is good for us, in the fact that we still have time to give him even more to think about, and to put LSU even more in the fold, but as of right now, this doesn't signal that all of a sudden LSU is in any better or worse position than before he announced he was pushing it back... that's what i'm trying to say... everyone thinking that this somehow means the kids is all about LSU now is only looking at it with an obvious bias, which is fairly common and easy to do when discussing recruiting....
