as a kid we lived in a nice neighborhood but no one really gave out candy so we went elsewhere.

as far as teenagers with no costumes, we have a rule no costume no candy and if you drive yourself then you can buy your own

Sounds like you’re describing welfare and food stamps. And like those 2 things, done correctly and in moderation is OK.

When the parents spend 1000 dollars on a cell phone, drive up in a big new SUV, and feel like their 18 kids (ranging from age 6-18) are entitled to what you’re handing out, that’s where the issues come in.

Anyone 13 and under is welcome. NO issue with that at all.

14 and over is middle school and that is over the limit age-wise imho.

I don't like crowds. I'd love to be able to take my kid through my neighborhood without walking through a horde. Also not a fan of having to buy enough candy for 500 kids, or picking up the trash they leave in my yard.

good post. i'd rather a few shitty kids get some candy than good kids from poor areas not get to enjoy halloween at all.

Then don't.. say "sorry, no costume, no candy"

But don't demonize a whole segment because you feel shorted out of $0.50 by some kids.

We are ballers, yet when it comes to candy we cry and moan?

I mean what the frick. We know it isn't about the candy
