So we're throwing out head to head completely?

UGA went to South Bend with a freshman QB in his 2nd start and beat the Irish.

No, head-to-head is part of the equation. Just not the entire thing.

Body of work points to Notre Dame. Head-to-head points to Georgia.

If Notre Dame runs through the gauntlet in the 2nd half of the season and finishes 11-1, there is no way they are keeping them out.

ND (11-1) has potentially these Top 25 wins

Mich State (will likely drop out)
USC
NC State
Miami
Stanford
(maybe Navy can hop in, 5-2 currently)

UGA (12-1) (assuming they lose to Bama)
Miss State
Notre Dame
Auburn

Georgia has Notre Dame.

They'll probably end up with two.

yea, true. safe to assume UGA will get 2 wins over top 25 and ND will get 3-4 wins over top 25.

I honestly think it comes down how close they play Bama. if its a close one, then UGA is in no matter what.

possibly.

but have you watched Miami play? they are pretty damn average. ND should smoke them.

Miami plays VT this week too, and if Miami loses, that will take off the luster of the ND match up

Stanford is tricky. ND is now favored to win according to ESPN FPI (last week Stanford was favored to win)

ND has better odds (65.8%) to beat them than Stanford (60.1%) LINK

I have a buddy who is an die-hard ND fan and he was irate about this. Was calling ND season-ticket holders out before kick-off.

ND, assuming this was last year's 8-5 Georgia team, let in a sea of red into their home stadium.

You think it would’ve changed the outcome if ND fans hadn’t sold their tickets to UGA fans? Those ND fans made money and are probably happy about that.

Michigan State very likely finishes 8-4. That probably sneaks them in the Top 25.

Navy won't finish Top 25, IMO.

I think Notre Dame ends up with five Top 25 wins.

Mississippi State looks like a 9-3 team. But you can't count out NovemBert. If they lose to Arkansas, they might not be a Top 25 team.

I think it'll be 5 for Notre Dame and 3 for Georgia.

This is becoming 12 all over

Posters saying Notre Dame will lose game X. When ND wins they claim opponents were overrated

Except this Notre Dame team would destroy that team.

This is already starting though, indeed. Someone said that NC State was a meh team that was massively overrated in the scoreboard yesterday.

Difference is the 12 team was barely getting by bad teams. This year, outside of a 1 point loss, they have blown out every team

In hindsight, they way the 2012 team tried to blow the Pitt game should have been a big sign that they were in trouble against Bama.

It's gonna be hilarious when 11-1 Notre Dame gets the #4 seed over 12-1 Georgia.

I hate UGA, but that would be some bull shite there.

If Bama can lose by 3 at home and get to play the #1 team again...ND can certainly lose by 1 at home and be put in the playoff after UGA loses to Bama.
