I've been pausing and smoking and had a buck run up.
Alternately, I've had a Kansas deer sprint away when the wind changed.
Deer are different all over.
The deer up north have good noses but come when you rattle. The deer in Louisiana can't smell for shite but can hear a fake rattle from a mile.

Yea man. I hunt superior national forest in northern Minnesota. When the rut is on. These bucks don't care about anything but a doe. Make noise, piss off your stand. Don't care. Lookin for females.
