I know it will be Dallas vs Kershaw but I would love to see Verlander and Kershaw match up... two pitchers to win MVP, multiple CY Young's among them, etc....

Kershaw will go games 1 and 4 I'm sure, could be ready for 7 if needed as well

I'm happy for the Astros but if they struggled with the Yankees they will need the best they have and some luck against the Dodgers.

This is the Dodgers year. Would make for a nice story if Houston can pull it out, though.

A few points...

The Yankees at the end of the season were much better than who they were at the beginning. They were better than their record.

Not only that, but they were at the top of their game in the playoffs. So they were no pushover at all. Just the opposite.

But whoever wins the World Series will have to play their best. That's really what it comes down to. Both the Astros and Dodgers are great teams, so it comes down to whichever team executes.

Yankees had a higher run differential than the Astros or Dodgers, second highest in MLB behind Cleveland. It's kind of insane they only won 91 games. The Dodgers are obviously very good though, Astros need the road offense to look more like Games 6 and 7 to have a shot.
