Absolutely the worst debater I have ever seen. He is the proverbial chess playing pigeon. Knocks all the pieces onto the floor, shits on the board, and flies off declaring victory.
Well - not the worst - Tim Kaine and Joe Biden are actually worse.

Trump is vastly over rated in so many areas. Can he go into the nitty gritty like Cruz? No, but he doesn't have to because that's not his style. He's a CEO, who looks at the big picture and that means he doesn't always know all the details. And thinking that the President should know all the details even if his big picture stinks is exactly how we got into the mess we're in.
Would I call Trump a "top debater?" No, but he certainly isn't awful at it.
