How often do we play Tulane in basketball?

I'm excited about the upcoming scrimmage against them since it'll be one of the few chances I get to see the boys play since I moved to NOLA. My only question is in this article released by LSU about the scrimmage it seems to have some very confusing information on the history of the series. It says the last time we played officially was in 1974 then proceeds to say the last time we played officially was in 2008 later in the article. Anyone care to clarify any info they have on the series?

Even though it is an exhibition game, the last official meeting between the two schools took place in 1974 in Tulane’s on-campus arena.

The teams last officially met in New Orleans in 2008 with the Green Wave getting a 68-63 victory at the Smoothie King Center.

We used to play them regularly it seemed like during Brady's days. 2008 we played them for sure I want to say the night before or a couple before we played tOSU in the BCSNCG

We played them home and home even after their departure from the SEC through the 1980-1981 season.
Ironically they came to Baton Rouge the following season for the first round of the "post-season" NIT and pounded us pretty good.
We can get all balled up about football is no longer played, but there is no reason to not play them once a year in basketball.

Looks like they made an edit to that first quote:

Since then, the teams met in the Louisiana Superdome and the New Orleans Arena/Smoothie King Center and in Baton Rouge. The teams did play a closed scrimmage in Fogelman at one point in the Trent Johnson era at LSU.

I went to the Tulane athletics website, purchased and printed tickets for the exhibition. I will be driving into N.O. for the game from BR. Is there parking available for the Devlin Fieldhouse? Any other suggestions for someone driving in from BR for the game?

I remember losing to them in New Orleans several years ago.

We should be playing in state schools every year. Teams like Tulane and USL should always be on our hoops schedule. Wade also needs to bring back the Sugar Bowl classic with schools like Georgetown and UNC.
