I wish these were around when I was a kid and that my parents dressed me like this.

First skin cancer found at 27. Second at 33. Third at 34. Thankfully none have been the bad stuff, but the scars are pretty gnarly. Any my parents were not the type to let me burn either. I can’t imagine how bad it would be had they been deadbeats and letting me get burnt as a kid.

My wife and I wear rash guards or sometimes out 3mm shorty spring suits when snorkling. We often are out for 3-4 hours at a time which in the tropics will cook you and coming in is a pain.

To me, it is like cycling, skiing, and rock climbing with a helmet, people my age grew up doing them without a helmet and eschewed them for a while because they looked "stupid" now most everyone wears helmets for these acticities.
