We need quality linemen. Been a problem in competing with the big boys.
Sure, the db's are great. Would rather have three 5* linemen.

No linemen
Certainly LSU wants and needs help along the LOS (both sides). However, there are only two lineman in the top 20 ranked LA players (both LSU commits). In Texas, only 5 of the top 20 are linemen (one is an LSU commit). Florida is the same way. For whatever reason, there appears to be very few big time linemen in this year's recruiting class nationwide.
I think LSU is going to try to address the LOS by going the JUCO route. Remember, they have a DT transfer currently sitting out. Another good thing is that the entire OL from this season should return for next year.
With regards to the 3 mentioned, you don't turn down 5 star players if they want to attend your school, regardless of position.

Shaping up to be a les miles recruiting class. 5 star skill guys but missing lineman.
We currently have 8 linemen committed right now, not counting Cherry. We have zero corners and only one DB committed.

I agree. Why don't you start a thread about it instead of taking a negadump in this one?

Actually we need top quality at all positions.
Yes we need heavy recruiting on the LOS especially OT but WR and DB specifically CB or both needs also.
Savion Smith is gone and we dont know what is going to happen with K. Fulton so we need at least 3 DB in this class so 2 of them being 5 star guys is a win for LSU.

Exactly. Greedy is probably going to be our only CB next year that has any experience on the outside. Vincent played a lot at nickel early in the year, but now that Jackson has moved inside, he hasn't seen nearly as many snaps.
I think you can count on Jackson and Toliver going to the NFL, so we're going to be very thin at CB.

Both guys should come back but they won’t. Look tre white! Neither are on his level right now

Any reason why cook cb prediction is gone

We got a CB today! That's gotta be good. There's a reason he did it in sure.

Are we saying Sam knows more than Shea and sonny?

Not saying...just hoping

I think Sonny and Shea are probably pretty close to putting in picks for lsu too they are just a little more gun shy about it than Sam is

he is really conflicted....Cook has played his recruitment really close to the chest from the get go. So him coming out and saying he is conflicted probably means he really is. I do think he has a leader if he HAD to pull the trigger today (or Friday that is).

Anthony seems to be a smart kid. He has said multiple times he is making this decision for himself and not for anyone else. Well I'm not sure how much more attractive LSU could possibly look to a CB right now:
1.KT2 and DJ are rumored to be heading to the NFL.
2.We do not have a ton of depth as of now so the competition would be lighter for that other outside spot and nickel compared to his other two schools.
3.He is an early enrollee. He will get a head start on the other CBs we get in this class as far as giving the coaches a look, getting better at his craft, and hitting the weight room.
4. The other schools do not have Corey Raymond and Dave Aranda on their coaching staffs.
5. Look at the long list of players we put in the NFL year after year.
Need I say more Anthony?

Are Tolliver and Jackson really rumored to be leaving? I don't find that to be a good move for either guy, but especially Jackson.

He will probably get picked in the 1st. He definitely should go.
