Big lake Recent Reports?

Haven't seen anything posted recently. Headed down there this weekend and all I've heard is that fish are still on the south end of the lake and towards the Jetties. Anybody have anything from this last weekend?

My dad and cousin went down this weekend and found trout and a few reds in Turner's, Moss Lake and South Prien. Not saying that people aren't catching down south but they did well on the North end.
He also said he talked to a guy loading his boat that caught a few around Commissary and Basket Reef.
After this cold front, the flounder should be thick in the bayous around the ship channel.

Smoked them last Monday. All over the lake but mainly south

Sounds like it's been mainly on the reefs. After this big front the bird action should be good I would think. Figure we might try early at Turners then either see what the birds are doing or move down south and try for some flounder along the channel.

The timing is a little off every year, but the fall flounder run should be starting real soon. I'll ask my buddy who guides out of Hackberry and see what he has to say.

BIL caught their 2man limit of reds by 9am via kayak sat am.

Saw pics of a really nice catch of flounder by one of the HR&G guides.
Birds are working nice all over the lake right now. Lots of Reds still at the jetties.

Buddy went caught reds and specks on the ship channel and nin e mile cut. Said bunch of people cleaning fish at Spicers.
