Luckily the long term woman-thing ended abt a year ago.

I’m 24-26, & just received a substantial promotion/raise in BR, the city of my upbringing. It’s fairly life changing.

Just looking for advice on how to maximize the opportunity I’ve been given.
Lots of times I wish I was in cities other than BR, but I’m torn, bc I’m from here & love it here.

Same here bro. Same here. I'm in a massive life rut and trying to figure out wtf I want to do with my life. My biggest mistake was moving into the river house 45 min away from any of my friends and shite to do.

Dirty breakup + living alone in bfe + not knowing wtf you wanna do with your life sucks

Invest a lot of the extra income, cut out the substances, cut down on the alcohol, and travel. You feel like you're stuck in BR, but you now make good money, so travel. It doesn't have to be a week long vacation. Take a long weekend and hop on a plane. Take a girl with you. She doesn't have to be your serious girlfriend.

Enjoy life while you have the means, youth, and freedom to do so.

If it hasn't been said yet start a 401k or so sort of savings vehicle and put as much money as you can towards it. Great age and recent promotion should make it a great opportunity to start.

Travel!!!!!

Even if alone. Travel some alone. Go out alone. That’s why god made uber. Wish I’d have discovered how relaxing just getting a beer by myself was when I was your age. Always felt like I had to be with friends.
