What is Derrius’s Future?

I ask that you go along with me on this hypothetical. Let’s say that Derrius finishes the rest of the season producing the way he has been so far this season. I understand it’s very possible he could get 100% within the next few weeks and ball out for the rest of the season, but let’s just say he doesn’t. Does Derrius have anything left to prove and if so would he come back?

No, nfl drafts on potential, not production
He's gone
He's gone

You never ever know for sure!!!

i think it would likely come down to his draft grade, which should be 1st round..... i believe that it's reasonable to consider this his last season with us

Every scout knows how versatile and agile Guice is. They know that if he has a flashlight blocker, he's like a Reggie Bush type of back. Any team that employs a fullback will be willing to draft Guice as he is right now, late first or early second round.

No offense, but you ignorant. No way he comes back. He's not really too hurt just doesn't want to risk injury.

How do you know this?

He's not a first round projection any longer. His swagger doesn't match the performance this year.

If you’re a top 4-5 back in the draft you leave.
His performance from here on out is irrelevant. No one who cares about him is going to advise him to stay. And they shouldn’t.

It’s dumb for RBs to come back if they are guaranteed to go in the top half of the draft.
RBs only have so many carries in the career.

According to Todd Mcshay, he is still the number two RB in the draft.

Guice is not the type of back that a pro team would use a first round pick on. Fournette was.

Chubb had a down year and came back. His stock has soared back up because of it. I doubt Guice stays but it wouldn't surprise me to see him come back.

Doesn’t matter. He’ll still be one of the first few backs off the board.
Even if he slips to the bottom of the second (I don’t think he will) it makes no sense to stay.

Chubb is a different case. Coming off 2 ACL injuries, he needed more than a year to prove he was healthy again. NFL team wouldn't have drafted him first half of draft based off his shortened freshman year

No. He'll go pro and be a 3rd rd pick IMO.

Lmfao Guice isn't and was never going to be a first round pick. Doesn't catch that well can't pass protect can't run routes. He's a very good college back but a run of the mill NFL back.

On the Friday night, after Thanksgiving, I asked him who did he want to get the coaching job? His response was, not a big deal to me, I only have one more year then I'm going to get paid.
