If we would have somehow pulled out a win vs Troy, losses to UF and Auburn would have been inevitable. It was the wake up call to coaches, players and A.D.

While I don't believe it was necessary, I do think teams often need a jolt or a setback to rally around.

It happened, it's over and we are a better team because of it,

Never acceptable under any circumstances, period.

Who is saying it's acceptable?

It's not, but it happened.

Do you disagree that teams often rally after a disappointing loss?

I get what you're saying... but two things:

1. Dammit, it shouldn't have been necessary

2. Couldn't the MSU game have sufficed? You know, getting blown out by a division foe?

I think you may be right.

Alleva still needs to go, but I'm glad the team and the staff have at least temporarily righted the ship and stopped the bleeding with a couple much-needed wins.

I can understand not being ready for Troy to an extent, but MissSt is still baffling.

Teams often fall apart after a disappointing loss too.

There is no way to polish the turd that is the Troy loss.

This. I read this article recently and it seems pretty spot on.

The fact that it was "necessary" proves the incompetence within the program.

Who is trying to polish it?

But actions and events can have a positive or negative effect on future outcomes. It appears that event is having a positive effect.
