why is it stupid? How is it different than other workplace rules like dress code?
Once that player is in uniform he represents his employer and the NFL. Many companies forbid political activism in the work place.
WhT they do on their own time is their own business. Just don’t bring that shite to the office.

Being forced to stand IS political activism. Hear lots of people say lets keep politics out of sports well lets just cut the anthem out not everyone has the same point of views.
