I doubt in 1851 they knew nearly as much about hurricane tracks, strength or pressures like Ed know now with satellites and planes.

How is that even possible? Upper air really cold to allow cooler water to support enough convection?

It's been a wild season for sure.

Made landfall today in Ireland, for the record it was no longer a hurricane or a tropical storm.



Also, the WCAB might try to give one more go at sending a tropical system north towards the US this year...
