SCOTUS grants cert to less than 2% of cases and they certainly weren't going to waste their time hearing a case that is now moot.
If you are digging this low to find winning that's pretty telling on how you see the situation or more likely you just don't understand the Federal Court system.
Ok. Ban bet for the next decision?

The justices were unanimous in deciding against ruling in the Maryland case, although one of the liberal justices, Sonia Sotomayor, noted that she would not have wiped out the appeals court ruling

I said this earlier, this is a really standard procedural action since the ban referenced in the lower court decision has expired.
Does it establish precedent regarding the President's authority to enact bans in the future?
(Not a lawyer, maybe it doesn't.)

The SCOTUS order does not. It removes the 4th circuit opinion, but only based on a procedural matter.

Funny thing is they think they're somehow going to win the Hawaiian decision!

Beautiful! So that means all the posters on here who bloviated about Trump's EOs being unconstitutional, unlawful, insane, etc. had absolutely no idea of what they spoke? Appears those folks need to go brush up on their law degrees or you know, just sthu.

The justices did not reach the question of whether the EO was constitutional. The decision only involves the procedural question of mootness.

Lmao. Hang on until the very end, little guy:

I would hope they wouldn’t waste time reviewing a ban that has already expired and been replaced with a different one.
It's called "setting a precedent."

I've said before and will say again that if the Court takes this up on the merits, they will either uphold the revised ban or use a procedural mechanism to let the ban stand without ever deciding on the constitutionality. I expect a 6-3 or 7-2 on that decision.

Now the impeachment proceedings against the judge can begin.
That would require a Speaker of the House who wasn't a dickless pile of shite.

Come on, man. I agree that the president has broad authority in the fields of foreign and border policy and national security. But you have to really be digging for some good news to post this.
From Reuters.
Bro come on, yes this was a "moral victory" for Trump considering the ban had already expired, but combine this with Kennedy's ruling last month and it is quite clear that SCOTUS is not going to rule against Trump in any case involving a travel ban.
