The Lakes at Jones Creek moves forward. That area flooded badly last year too.

Smart legislation but zero chance it would have passed. Baton Rouge construction is booming. This moratorium would have been disastrous for the city's budget with the permits fees haulting.

The developers' checks must have cleared the bank.

Thank God someone has enough sense to realize we have codes in the UDC. If you don’t like them, then make a change to the UDC. You can’t deny developers when they are following the UDC. AND, you certainly can’t deny a proposed development when all rules were followed. The “flooding” issues were a farce. Those pricks just don’t want connectivity!

At this point anyone who buys in EBR, LP, or AP does so at their own risk. You cant trust the flood maps, and you sure as hell can't trust the local governments.

That goes for the Northshore, too, which is facing the same issues.

Nobody said the flooding was a farce. Please tell us the system you have designed that can handle 31" of rain in 30 hours.
