Is this the best weekday sports day of the year? (Pats/Bucs, MLB, NCAAF, NHL)

I'm absolutely fascinated in this game as well as both MLB games. This might be my favorite (non weekend) sports day of the year.
This Pats @ Bucs game is the ultimate wild card IMO - I feel like anything could happen from a Patriots blowout to a Bucs blowout (and full panic in the NFL media/hype world that would result from such a blowout - similar to their loss at Kansas City a few years ago).
Given the rosters, home field, injuries, etc. this should probably be a Bucs win, but we've seen the Patriots in this spot before and more often than not they somehow find a way to not only win, but win by 3 touchdowns or so.
I have no clue what will happen in EITHER of the MLB games - I prefer Sale and Gray pitching for the underdog Red Sox and Yankees, but can you really pick against the Astros and Indians?
Finally, as our good mate Bunk points out, we have #17 Louisville at #24 NC State for the college football diehards
I cannot wait for 3PM to get here, lads
I bet on the Bucs, Yankees, and Red Sox in today's games but I like the Astros to win that series v's Boston.

I was thinking we just need a decent ACC or Pac 12 game to cap it off, but Lou/NC St isn't half bad.

I forgot about that - good call. Above average game and I think NC State can pull off the "upset".

Definitely a great sports day. Add in Louisville v NC state and hockey starting.

Is this really NHL opening day? I saw a buddy on FB mention he was going to the "home opener" but I assumed he was being overly dramatic about a preseason game. It's a legit game?

Pittsburgh penguins raised the banner last night in the season opener.

If the Pats get blown out by the Bucs, it's over.
Personally, I expect them to come out and play a fantastic game offensively, and have a great game in the secondary. That being said, the lack of a pass rush isn't going to be solved until Belichick retires, because he is just unwilling to let defenders pin their ears back and rush the passer.

NCAA Tournament Thursday is the best sports weekday of the year for me, but today is pretty damn good.

As a Bucs fan in the Bay Area, I can't even get excited for this. I fully expect y'all to win by 87.

To me, October is always the best sports month of the year. College football is getting into the conf. games full time; The NFL is in full swing and the MLB playoffs are on throughout the week. I don't know if there is any sport that routinely delivers the drama of the MLB playoffs (and this is coming from someone who is just a very casual baseball fan)
