Port, I just created a keeper league earlier this afternoon. I have three or four buddies that said they want to play then I was going to post on this board to try to fill the rest. Was going to aim for a keeper league, points scoring, FAAB, at least 12 teams. But I'm flexible.

I was never a part of this league so I don't know what the story is, what made it fall apart, etc. What if I made you co-comish and went from there?

But like I said, I don't know the history of this league and don't want to butt in on something y'all have been doing for years or anything. So, don't feel obligated or anything. Just let me know.

yeah let's start another "keeper" league so people can quit halfway through the year and then next year quit until we agree to change the league?

Like I said, that format was so shitty...no one could get into it. So was keeping 5 and trading all of your picks every year. Damn near everyone agreed that the old format needed changing. A complete redraft and dynasty was my suggestion because it solves all of those issues. Some people wanted to do a yearly redraft instead. You pushed the keeper element and it ended up being something that no one liked. Not your fault, it just didn't work.

There are several people that are interested in doing a league. You don't have to join if you don't want to...but imo there are 2 options. Dynasty or yearly redraft. I prefer dynasty. Tdba is set up that way and we have had zero churn. Same teams since it was established. I also don't care if it's the same format. People do more than one league in football and in baseball. I'm more interested in hoops and can manage two different teams.

So for those interested I will make a list and try to get something started. Let me know your preference, dynasty or yearly redraft and we can go from there.

CajunSaints
Dallas
Florida

Papps possibly
21JS possibly
Karma?
MattyV

So that's 11 right there. Can't tell what ron wants to do but potentially 12 with him. That's a start.

so what's the format of the league?

how do you propose we keep people engaged all season long if it's not to own keepers?

My suggestion is dynasty. 16-18 man rosters, 2 round rookie draft each year. That's what we do in tdba and it's the goat format.

The same way we do in football? Tdfl is a redraft every year. We don't have shitty owners so people stay engaged the whole season, there are still many trades.

Again I prefer dynasty, but quasi keeper leagues seem to be dying. Most prefer to either keep your entire team or draft a new one each year.

In for a dynasty, out if it's another convoluted auction with increasing salaries. Unfortunately i'm not in college anymore, ain't no one got time for that. I would however be in favor of a large league if we could get enough solid owners

this is great. But for the second year in a row I've made moves for a year that didn't come. Kind of BS
