The rookie draft will snake this year. Next year it will not.
But yeah, you get the top rookie of your choice. We will draft 18 rounds, then you will kick off the rookie draft.
again, Ben Simmons is NOT a part of the rookie draft. You can draft him in the regular draft.

Rookie draft lasts 2 rounds.. opposite the main draft order. IE you will pick 2nd to last in the 1st round, 2nd in the 2nd

When we start the draft, everyone is available except FIRST YEAR ROOKIES (Ball, Fultz, ETC). When we draft 18 players, we will have a separate draft for the rookies and it will be reverse draft order. That is to help compensate for the low pick. Guys picking up top are getting an elite stud, so this helps a little although rookies are not guaranteed to do anything.
So when you draft, you can draft anyone but a first year player. Ben Simmons was drafted last year so he is free game. It's just first year players that are in the rookie draft this year.

i'm gonna go ahead and say that since this is a league re-set, and even though i don't have a shot at him. ben simmons is a rookie.
