This is the 2nd time I'm asking you this now.

Are you trying to insinuate that all of those articles, from around the country, listing LSU as a top 10 job are somehow all LSU homers?

RB my friend, perhaps we have a disconnect on the meaning of "destination job." To me, "destination job" means a highest profile, most lucrative, and prestigious job that just about any ambitious coach would be salivating to take... even if it meant leaving a highly successful career elsewhere.

But frankly, today there are very few jobs that fit that description, and LSU isn't one of them. When the coach at Miss State makes more than the coach at LSU the upper tier but not elite program, such as LSU, does not merit being called "destination."

In my opinion, the belief that LSU is a program with an attraction close to equal to Alabama, Notre Dame, USC, Texas, is one of the things that has prevented LSU from getting a young gun.. because they don't even look...they simply believe that any coach, Jimbo, etc., will just jump at the chance to coach the Tigers. Ironically, the opposite of this, a willingness to accept a question mark young gun is what got LSU Coach Saban. Belief in the omnipotence of LSU football attraction is the hubris that eventually led to hiring "O."

Just my two bits...
