No, I'm questioning the trade of Kanter and the draft pick for Melo, the PG13 trade was great and immediately improved that team on paper bc of what PG contributes on a 2-way basis in addition to Russ and the Stache Brothers as well as the depth they have on bench. IDK what trading for Melo accomplishes in terms of translating to team success considering his relative diminution as an effective volume scorer and his reputation as a ball-stopper which has tanked the New York franchise. Also, THEY LET TAJ GIBSON GET AWAY. This team is not a championship team by any stretch and likely won't be in the long run if PG13 leaves next year or Melo once his contract expires thus enabling Russ to return to his HeroBall, inefficient ways.

Exclude Melo from the equation please, no team needs that prohibitive contract attached to the embodiment of inefficiency and selfishness on a team with an already selfish ball monopolizer that loses his team games by HeroBalling.

Hmm...I wonder if the Lakers will be willing to take on that contract.
Might've just screwed yourselves out of some shitty draft picks OKC

Melo is more for name than player, they needed to convince westbrook and George.
Same length of contract with Kanter, so really it doesn't matter financially. Even on court Kanter isn't a positive, you could get more from melo

Next year they will lose George and be back to what they were before right?

You're making things up now. They didn't trade Taj Gibson. He signed as a free agent with the TWolves.

Yeah you can get definitely get more ballhogging and disruption of an offense that's directly designed to flow through Russ and elevate other supporting talent but hey what do I know, Melo hasn't achieved a damn thing in last 4 seasons when he was busy volume-scoring, playing zero defense, and ball-stopping the offense through inefficient play.

And at the end of the day, it's russ' team. If melo ends up being a detriment, I'm sure Houston would love him. Kanter isn't making that team better either.
Their offense is going to change with George now there too, Westbrook won't be doing the same thing as last year.
