I mean as the old quote falsely attributed to Winston Churchill goes: "If you're 25 and not liberal, then you have no heart. If you're 40 and not conservative, then you have no brain."
Leftists deal with emotional solutions rather than practical ones. The best emotional solution to help out the refugees is to let them all in, because it is simply a tragedy when that little boy washed up dead on shore. It is objectively sad that it happened. But Leftists don't think of the particularly unforeseen damage that will come from their good intentions. Conservatives are more likely to look at tragedy more objectively than liberals will.

And I think these provide interesting insight into the worldviews and behaviors of individuals within the groups and the corresponding strengths and weaknesses.
I also think that if people really wanted to people with different views to have rational discussions and to find common ground, these insights would be useful to understanding the basis for one's views.

I remember a speech when BC was Pres, after the speech people were just in tears with how it made them feel, I thought it was a bunch of words without really saying anything, I asked one lady what he said and she looked at me puzzled and after a pause said "I can't really say, but you could just feel how much he cared"

They didn't need to do a study for this. I thought everyone always understood this? Liberals were think with the heart first and conservatives were more think with the brain first. Not saying anything negative about either side so no need to blast me Im not saying One side is no heart the other no brain.
