How can you play this game as much as you do and not use the combat pro layout?
I do on PS4. Xbox controller bumpers are atrocious, L1 and R1 are vastly superior. Gonna take some time to overcome the muscle memory. Started with combat pro on PS4 so there wasnt much of an overwrite period.
May try combat pro with my Elite controller and see if it's better (the bumpers are much better), i usually only use my Elite for Overwatch.

All the best players start at flush factory, you know.

We always land at those 3 also.
Just a theory but I feel like if you can make it out of those(the closest one to the initial bus spawn). You have a decent shot at winning.
Most of the high skill players seek combat so they jump there. So you thin out the skill level for the rest of the match when you finish them off early.
Retail, Pleasant, or Mire for me, mostly Retail. Love dropping into chaos and just running around guns blazing.
If I get a sniper in the mire and the storm heads that way, you can pretty much give me the win.

I love Retail and Pleasant, not a fan of Mire just because of the water. Hate Dusty (teams want to land there, never enough stuff to outfit a squad), the factories sandwiched between the three locations is a good spot too. Not a huge fan of Greasy, Anarchy and Fatal are fun, Loot Lake is a LIAR.

I usually go Greasy or Retail.
I enjoy Greasy (ESPECIALLY in Duos) because I think the chests are the most tightly packed. Places like Retail and Pleasant are pretty spread out. The south side of Greasy has 5 houses + a shop that are close together and are very chest dense, so if you land and get 1-2 chests you can get easily kitted before going on a rampage and ending up with 6-10 chests worth of loot really quickly.
I have a feeling Greasy will become even more popular once they add the new city (it's going on the SW side of Loot Lake).
I like Retail because there's a few more chests quantity-wise and usually more people go there (more kills!). But also because it isn't a far run from wherever the first circle will be.

You on console or PC?

Console, PS4
I am considering giving it a shot on PC but I have almost no experience with shooters on PC so I'm mulling it over

almost always rtail, sometimes switch it up and go to one of the farms. occasional tomato. duo i like loot lake facotries, tomato. solo i like greasy.
circle rarely ever ends on greasy or pleasant. salty is a shite show. i used to like prison but its too much area for not enough loot. only good if first circle is close by, you can run and empty moisty, gather resources and get back in time before 1st circle is in.
typically like to fight right away, can get a whole towns loot in minutes by killing the teams that already looted the rest of city. if we have a few bad games where like 10 teams keep dropping to main loot spots we'll take a mid jump far away form bus where you have to chute early. 1-3 teams max. then you risk being under geared, especially if the circle goes opposite and you spend most of the game running.
well worth training yourself to build immediately after contact, will save your life 100x more than it will cost you your life. building bases up high is a magnet for other teams to push on you, more times than not youll get sandwiched between multiple teams. roaches flock to gunfire like flies to shite. collect your spoils and move out.
Winter update is coming tomorrow and I have a date at home. 1st date too so i can't make an excuse to play while she's here

Enjoying some 50v50 right now. I need to make more time to play or I'm never gonna win a match outside 50v50.

50v50 is won and lost in the first 2 minutes. go to the popular close spot and help your team win the initial battle. coast to the W. play with the mob, be the mob.
keep at least 600 wood to build cover for the plebs who stand in the open and get slayed.
I hate people who go off to low key spots to try and gear up in 50v50. you have 49 team mates you dont need a full loadout. grab a mid and close range and scavenge enemy corpses.

Me and a few of my buddies played squad pretty much all day today. At one point we one 2 in a row, lost one, won 2 more in a row, came in 2nd, then won 3 in row. We were hyped as frick

Do you progress a character or is each game it’s own thing?
Posted on 12/15/17 at 4:09 pm to TotesMcGotes
I have 4 wins in solo, 6 in duo and 8 in squad. In solo, I always land in an outskirt zone. Most games I finish with only 2 or 3 kills. In one game I won, the only kill I had was the last kill. In squad, I'm way more aggressive cause I know my teammates can pick me up

950 v bucks on sale, gives you an initial skin and multiple others and enotes through a progression/level system, boosted exp, etc.

Solo win - went pure cheese, freely admit it.
Didn't INTEND to on start - landed in an area with two others, and they killed each others (one had grenades) and I didn't see another person for a WHILE.
Had a bush, was trying to watch for sniper opportunities, and a guy slid down and landed right next to me. Apparently he didn't see me (I was also under a tree) so I spun and killed him with my AR.
Literally didn't see another person until the game was down to 3 players. Loot lake, 4 drops around me, and the other two on the opposite side of the island duking it out.
So I grabbed my RPG, and blew away the poor dude who was now in the water and moving at a snail's pace.
Nowhere near as fun as the one where I had 7-8 kills, but probably less stressful. Still, when I won that first one my wife knew about it from the cheer. The second one... eh.

I downloaded Fortnite last night, it keeps saying failed to create a party. Do I need anything else?
