he problem is that the left wants to blur the things that actually makes someone achieve. Well actually they want to remove the former from the discussion and just claim "privilege" to be solely based on being white. Which of course isn't something we control.

Liberalism 101. Don't focus on what we can actually control. Blame failure on something or someone else.
shel, this is my bigger point. Do I agree white people have advantages? Yes

However I think it is being used as a false flag by politicians for personal gain, and as a crutch by others

I would rather focus our efforts on things that will truly help

I think the problem is, as a whole(or maybe just the vocal majority) only focuses on the ones you speak of, which leave the black people who truly want unity and justice and all that good stuff...their voices go unheard.

The kneeling thing is a perfect example. We ignore what they want to fight for and only focus on the kneeling. And I think the kneeling is the wrong way to go about it as well, so i'm not innocent there, but again it just deflects from what they're actually trying to to and the point they're trying to get across.

Oddly enough, by acknowledging white privilege, I am suggesting that I, indeed, am higher up on the totem pole of life than blacks. I thought this is what we wanted to avoid. Are people with white privilege supposed to be chomping at the bits to relinquish it? This world has constantly had people fighting for some supremacy, whether it is political, religious, militaristic, etc. Now we are being told that posturing is wrong?

My privilege acknowledgement doesn't make the inner-cities safer. It doesn't create better schools in poverty stricken areas. It also doesn't make the family life better when daddy gets busted for selling drugs.
