Scott Cochran, Alabama's S&C coach, learned under Moffitt and even implemented the same basic workout philosophies. If you look at most big time S&C programs, they are very, very similar, with minor tweaks here and there. Moffitt is one of the most valuable coaches will ever have.

And Scott's teams have skull dragged LSU teams the past few years. The protégé now has the Master's number. A Moffitt trained LSU football team will never compete with Bama in the trenches. It's time to let Moffitt go.

Cochran, like most of the S&C coaches at the top programs across the country, has left Moffitt behind. Moffitt has stagnated.

Cochran has AL living in the current century and there is a difference.

I presume Bear Bryant coached under somebody before he became a head coach. That does not mean whoever it was was a great coach.

I think the OP is looking to cast blame whereever he can, but I seriously doubt our strength and conditioning coach is the problem.
Sure, strength is important, but I'd argue it's a small part of a lineman's ability to succeed. So much more of it is technique, angles, leverage, vision, instinct, etc.
The god-given athletic ability of a player is the overwhelming cause of success, not the strength coach.
Maybe Cochran is so successful at Alabama because they have the best players to start with?
