The greatest omission off the top 25 is The Alamo.

The score is by Dimitri Tiomkin.

The reason you do not see many later films in the top 25, is because Hollywood was a machine from 1920-1960 and hired the best in the business. The effect of that Hollywood machine lasted near into the early 1980's, since that time there has been a major drop in original scores.

yes I agree but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still iconic works being put out. The score to inception is one of the greatest ever put on film.
