This isn't about any coach. This is about any program. You will have ups and downs. Yes Alabama has been the most consistent program for a while and many want us to be at that level. I agree we should be. All I am saying is our ship may be sinking but only time will tell. I challenge each of you that feel as if it's sinking to look in the mirror and say you haven't made mistakes in your careers no matter if your a burger flipper or president of a multi million dollar company.

I will end by saying this Coach O may not be the right guy. But can you with out a doubt say you know who the right guy is?

No offense, but there was nothing BEFORE he was hired to suggest Ogeron was the "right guy." That's where the anger is coming from. As others have mentioned so many times, the selling point in favor of Ogeron was "continuity." He was going to keep the defensive coaching staff in tact. He was going to keep last year's recruiting class in tact. The only thing he was going to change was the thing Miles wouldn't, the overall offensive philosophy. Now everyone says "be patient. This is a rebuild."

If a rebuild was necessary, then why not start with an entirely new staff? Instead, you're essentially asking the same people who (ostensibly) put you in the position where a rebuild was necessary to then rebuild the team.

If Ogeron isn't the right guy, then the longer he stays the worse it will get. And the the question has to be asked: Why did you hire a guy with concerns in the first place? This is almost the EXACT same hire as Johnny Jones. Being cautiously optimistic about your coach from day 1 doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

The loss doesn't necessarily bother me as much as the fact that the team visibly QUIT in the second half. Regardless of the sport that is generally the death knell for a HC. If you players don't respect you or the program enough to keep fighting, then you are useless as a coach. They have tuned you out.

Hopefully, last Sat. was just a wake up call for all vs. a wave of the white flag.
