The ironic part of this is that other countries with far more socialistic programs have better life expectancy for less money. Lets not pretend we have some sort of great efficient system over here.

Their better life expectancy is due to culture, not money.
Those other "socialist" countries have a culture of walking/exercising and not cramming their faces with McDonalds 24/7.
ETA: This country wants everyone to have cadillac healthcare for a majority who treats their bodies like shite.
There's not enough money on the entire planet to support that.

the problem with our system is the same problem with our educational system: our underclass skews everything by making bad choices
the US is a unique country in the world where we have both a large population of economic elites that are unmatched in scope anywhere else (and only beaten in individual wealth by authoritarians in resource-rich countries) while also having an underclass that rivals the developing world.

Those countries do not have the same demographics as we do. We aren't those countries.
Some like to decry others when it's said that Country A does this. The typical response is but we aren't country A.
If you think socialistic policies are good for the country then vote for Bernie type candidates. Vote for candidates that are honest about it and not those that are trying to fool American's like Obama.
I just, for once, want libs to be honest about it and tell us how much they want. Put that number out there in the public and let the public decide.
If the public wants to pay the price and the price is known then fine. I'll live with it and vote for people to repeal it.
The dishonesty about this issue is what bothers me (Gruber and Obama and his admin and supporters).

We're also the unhealthiest and most drug taking country in the world. Of course, other systems will not have the same success here. If you want to call them successes.

there are too many variables to make that simple statement that life expectancy is directly related to heath care.
the US has a fast food, obesity crisis. we eat more processed food, have near the highest work/stress relationship, work more hours per year then our European friends, and have higher rates of homicide and auto fatalities then most other countries as well.
this all plays in part to life expectancy
