Results are about what most of us here would expect - opposite of what the marketing guys want the consumer to believe.
He tested the R11, R1, SLDR, R15, 2016 M1, and 2017 M2...biggest jump was 11 yards more and 400ish RPM less between R1 and SLDR. Really interesting stuff. Shiels did the same with 5 years of Callaway drivers too, links are below.

Welp, guess whos not getting anymore free stuff from TM?
And driver technology hasnt changed in a while. All in the shaft and head spin profile. Find the head and shaft that fit you, and you're good to go for years.

LOL I thought the same thing. They can't be too thrilled, but then again...he did advocate that feel and forgiveness are what sets the new ones apart.
Agreed about the shaft being the key though. That said, I'm always shocked at how low spinning that SLDR head is.

I went from that Razr Fit in the Cally video to a '16 M2 and my numbers improved across the board bigly. May have just been my conditions at impact.

He needs to make a Titleist one..

Put a 15 HC on the monitor who can't center the ball on the club face more than once every 8 swings, then see the difference.
That's what makes the newer stuff better. Forgiveness.
As far as spin numbers and distance, that's mostly about the shaft.

That's what really surprised me when I demoed a G30 when they first came out. I hit one way out on the toe and still landed on the right edge of the fairway, or maybe just off. I was sold.

Ever seen WIHB? Epic Driver. Cobra 3 wood. Titleist MB 21 iron. Wilson irons. Titleist and Callaway wedges. And some putter I never heard of with a Ping Hoofer Stand Bag. He is not loyal to any brand...plays what fits his game.
