Just finished the first 2 episodes. I think the cast of characters is interesting and it seems like a show where thier stories will all merg together once the character development is done. The pimps are rediculious but then they are pimps. I also think it has a Taxi Driver feel to it. They've done a good job capturing the seedy NYC of the 70's. At any point a young Dinero could pull up in his cab.
I did find it funny when the mobster started going on about the "broken window theory" -which came around in the early 80's - but other than that they have stayed pretty true to the time period.
Both episodes left me wanting more.

Episode 1 was great. Episode 2 kinda started dragging and I began to loose interest. I will stick with it. Why not just get another actor to play Franco's brother. This whole duel acting bit (Fargo) is not effective to me.

At least Franco is playing twins. That may come into play with the mob. Vinc has already been mistaken for his brother.

I'm really digging it quite a bit. Reminds me a lot of The Wire -- police officers having to put up with stupid bullshite, focusing on how criminals talk. Franco is quite good in it.
