My favorite LSU - Miss State stat comes from the 1967 game

LSU 55 Mississippi State 0. For the entire 1967 season State score 49 points. In the Miss State-LSU game that season LSU scored more in that one game than State did all season.

I was young but I remember that game. Perhaps State's worse year. DD Lewis seemed like he made all the tackles in that game. Went on to a good career at Dallas. Perhaps a State fan can give us his tackle numbers while there.

LSU caught State at the worst possible time, after three straight gut-wrenching games vs Tennessee (14-17 L) Ole Miss (13-13) and Bama (7-6 L). LSU was desperate to vent its frustration and State was a fitting opponent.

If your scores are right and OP stat is correct, then State scored 67% of their points for the season in those 3 games alone.

ETA: not that I really like the NCAA OT format, but ties really did suck.

Those are scores for LSU games, not State. LSU lost three close games that year, all against ranked opponents to finish 7-3-1
