Most offenses use crossing/ slants and we don't. J
completely wrong. We had receivers running those routes, especially crossing. Etling just wasn't targeting them. I definitely wanted to see us practice short to medium more, but I don't think it's a problem.

I don't know how he hasn't been banned already to be honest.

Do some of you sit up at night and think about something to be critical about?

What next? When LSU throws a pass over the middle you will complain about throwing too much to the right or left side of the field? Damn.

I don't know that it "concerns" me as such, but I did notice it last night... Etling threw the ball on deep routes a lot, and didn't really complete anything that I would consider "basic offense" passing.... take that back, he did hit one nice out pattern right on the sideline.

I'd like to see more of the 10-20 yd passes before we hit the meat of the schedule. He did show that against BYU, but last night was kind of like Brandon Harris against Florida in '14- throw it deep and watch our WRs go get it. It's nice that we can do that, but I just want to see the other aspect of the passing attack.

Good. I am looking forward to it. I am just so tired of getting drilled by good defenses, due to a lack of preparation in the tune-up games.

The routes were there he didn't go to them. He went deep in the 3rd with I think DJ coming wide open on a crossing route.

I think it's just Etling TBH. As soon as Brennan got it he threw 2 nice passes down the seam.

Not sure why though

The TD pass to Davis and the deep ball to Chark were both right on the money. The deep ball to Chark was the most beautiful pass i had seen from an LSU qb in over 10 years.

Lol, can't believe you got down voted for this. For two weeks the passing game has been sideline and deep passes. We are playing extremely bad secondaries. People have been saying we've improved passing, but all we've done is play it safe. So far nothing looks different from the passing game. Etling was completing short sideline passes last year as well as underthowing several deep passes where the WR has to make adjustments (same problem Mett had).

Until we play against an at least okay team, we won't know what we have offensively. As of now Guice isn't getting any huge runs, neither is any other RB, and the passing game is like 3 passes; to the right, left, or deep middle.

I really don't understand why so many people are blatantly lying to themselves like they see something new, or better, outside of pre-snap motion.
