It was a beautiful throw. But Danny doesn't seem to throw there.

What is the belief, as to why LSU does not throw slants, crossing routes, or in-routes over the middle of the field?

We attempted what looked like a post about 15 -20 yds downfield and Etling missed the reciever (Chark, I believe). Led him too much and high

I think going even back to last year that his deep balls aren't actually underthrown, he's just late recognizing and gets the ball out a half second late.

Canada said before the game he wasn't going to call plays and reveal his offense just to pacify ignoramuses like you. He said depending on what the defense gives them would determine the plays he calls.

Even Etling said that he underthrew several in his post game. Underthrowing is good sometimes though. This really wasn't the question to begin with, though.

The rantards pissed themselves for me saying this last night. And on at least two deep balls, I didn't see safeties bite on PA. Coverage was good. Probably why they weren't intercepted

I dont think a slant is revealing. It is a basic part of the game. I guess our baseball team should not bunt until SEC play either. You must have been a huge Miles supporter.

These things need to be worked on in real time. Nobody is asking for triple reverse passes or anything.

So he is just going to take the Miles/Cameron strategy to not practice anything he might need for Bama, Ark, & Ole Miss stretch at which point team fails to execute in the pinch... Same old shite.

Idk but we should. Brennan threw a bullet to Sullivan on a slant, it was a TD if Sullivan catches it.

We need more of that.

You're still not making any sense with your logic. Underthrowing is more of a timing issue. A fraction of a second can result in a yard or two short.

To answer your question, why do we need to throw short intermediate routes when we'll just run it for 5-7 yards a carry?

He's not dumb and stupid like you, nor is he dumb like Cameron and Miles. Just STFU and let the man call his offense as he sees fit. He's a pro, trust in him you stupid ignoramus.

Practice timing for Alabama, where you will not run for 5 yards anywhere?

Our passing has been the reason for our losses for many years now. Just thought maybe we would take a new approach. Now I was curious about why we aren't taking a new approach.

What you are talking about is a lack of high % completion throws. Short slants, quick outs, bubble screens.
I too want to see the intermediate-middle field used more. Specifically I was hoping to have MSU fearing it by this time. It hasn't been worth the risk yet I suppose. DE does have a tendency to throw high in the middle (like Mettenburger), which is bad... very bad.

More significantly we haven't seen very much screen action yet. If the OL is indeed a concern (future) then this should help them slow down some pass rushes.

Put the two together I'm drawing the conclusion that the timing/chemistry isn't there yet and Canada knows it. Or, possibly, we haven't needed it yet. It is one or the other.

No sir. I like etling and I love Canada. Just wanted opinions as to why we weren't working to give basic confidence during an actual game. Practice time hasn't translated recently against Alabama.

For the last several years it appears that our receivers can't get open or the quarterback can't throw a timing route. Coaching?
I was thinking last night, if a young WR wants to see the field, he should work with Josh Reed all summer and learn the art of getting open or finding an open area in the defence. Reed could always get open.
