Blair Witch Project scared the frick outta me when I was younger.
I went watch this in theaters at around 20 years old. I got out wanting a refund. I swear this is the dumbest movie I have ever seen and I will never attempt to watch that shite again.
The exorcist is still the scariest movie I have ever seen but I did watch it at 4 years old. Today I don't think they could make a movie that leaves me terrified. I'll jump when something happens on screen but once the credits roll I'm not thinking about what's in the dark.
I don't find there are many good horror movies made today.

I really liked Blair Witch Project and thought the marketing was brilliant.
I think I was around that age too when I saw it and I thought it was such a great new concept.
Thing is , I think horror falls into two basic categories - the human element - slasher/killer/psycho types and supernatural element - demons/ghost/other worldly and unexplainable.
The human element does absolute zero for me in terms of horror/scare factor.
The supernatural is more my jam for this genre. Something that cant fully be explained or rationed away with logic and defies the physical world that we know. That's frightening, not something that can be taken out by most human means already available.
