Did you even read the article? It states why the earth's temperature changed in the past, and why we know the earth's temperature is going to change in the future.

Do we? Really?

What's the temp gonna be in baton rouge Louisiana on September 9th 2117?

That is the most RETARDED thing ever said. NO ONE KNOWS THAT, but like they can predict that 3PM is probably going to be way hotter than 6AM, they can predict that it's most likely going to be warmer in the year 2117 than it will be this year.

Ohhhh name calling. I like it. Fact is, you don't know. Not a single person alive knows. The last 200 years are such an absolute tiny sample size to up and decide omg global warming is caused by man!!!

Could it be hotter? Yep. Could it be cooler? Yep. Could it stay the same? Yep again.

But know what I can promise you? It won't matter to us. Because WE WILL BE DEAD. Worry about real and tangible issues that we actually have to deal with.

Wrong. lots of people know. infact 97% of scientists know. And it's way more than 200 years. They've got thousands of years to look at.

I care, because I have loved ones that I want to have nice place to live in.

edit: Sorry about calling you a retard, but it was a pretty stupid example that you gave.

The burden of proof always lies upon those who would take away freedom, so you are merely a freedom denialist until you use the scientific method free of political influence to show me why my freedoms should be curtailed and to exactly what end.

Oh really? So 97% of scientists can predict the future hundreds of years out? Sweeeeeetttt..

Are you saying humans have contributed to global warming for thousands of years?

And they will. Doesn't matter what you or I do. The world will still be here doing just fine in 200 years. As will (sans nuclear war) be peachy as well.

This shouldn't be a question about freedom, conservative or liberal. It should be a question of is if climate change is real, and if it's real what are we willing to do about it. Did we complain about power plants restrictions when we were cutting down sulfer restrictions to reduce acid rain? Did we complain about when Reagan reduced aeresols in 1986 to protect the ozone? Science shouldn't be a left right issue.

WEll they can predict what the temperature should be given a certain Carbon Dioxide Level in the atmosphere.

Glad you have that confidence. I'm confident too that the human race will keep on chugging, we're the most adaptable species on the planet next to roaches and rats. The question is what kind of planet are we going to be leaving them? I'd like to leave them as close to the same one as possible.

What would their margin of error be? A degree? 2? 5?

Technological advances in the next 100 years will ensure they have a much better life than ours. Relax. All will be well.

As I asked last night, do you acknowledge that the greenhouse effect is in fact a real thing?

Unless you deny this basic scientific fact, what you say is patently false.

Farmers, like consistency. They like to know if the land they're on, will get x number of inches of rain per year. Or what day the growing season starts and end. These things are starting to change.
Yah. Never had droughts or floods previous to the 1990s or so. It's crazy.

What is confusing you TA? Unless you are inferring farmers don't mind floods or droughts, your little red herring isn't really relevant to what he was speaking about.

At this point, that's what I'm hoping for as well. It's quite evident, that a significant number of people aren't worried about it enough to do anything about it.

Why someone would as a completely irrelevant question.
