I remember seeing statistics for FBS program revenue, and Tulane actually out-earned Cincinnati in the prior year.
It sounded a little unbelievable, but it would explain how Cincinnati appears rather mortal right now.

Reminder that if Nebraska holds on and beats Texas Alabama plays Cincinnati for the BCS title in 2009.
